Get ready to rock ‘n’ roll and win a pair of MYKITA by Beth Ditto sunnies

May we introduce to you our first pair of rock’n’ roll shades: BETH. We teamed up with the legendary Beth Ditto, singer of the band Gossip, to create her very own pair of sunglasses.

Beth has a very unique individual spirit, strong personality and style, so we were very excited to work with her on a design level. We knew that together we could create a very special pair of sunglasses – and now we have: “Well, I have a huge head, so these glasses are enormous! And my favourite colour is purple! So I knew that even if no one else wore them, at least I’d have the shades of my dreams for the rest of my life,” said Beth afterwards.

The frame is the result of a sketch prompted by the search for the perfect pair of sunglasses – drawn instinctively and spontaneously by Beth Ditto herself. Together we created this special cat-eye frame made of lightweight stainless steel, customised to fit her facial contours. The glasses incorporate Ditto’s own distinctive style; the cut-out style and the colour make the frame a statement. BETH comes in purple and white versions with violet gradient lenses, in a limited edition of 100 frames per colour. The frame will hit stores by mid-september.

We have kept one pair of these limited and individually numbered frames to give away to one of our dear readers! What makes these glasses even more special is the colour: they also come in dark blue, a special edition of the special edition, so to speak – there are only 10 frames available in this tone worldwide.
